OpenStax in a nonprofit begun by Rice University and supported by several major foundations. They offer open textbooks which are written and reviewed by faculty. These books are available free online and in print from Amazon for $25 to $50. Many of them include the "extras" that traditional textbook publishers offer such as test banks and slides. Adopting an OpenStax textbook is the easiest way to make the transition to OER.
