Two NMC Service Learning Videos (2013-2014)

"Challenging Myths: Stereotypes of Poverty" (2013)

In partnership with Progress Village, United Way NWMI, Traverse Bay Poverty Reduction Initiative, and UpNorth Media Center, students conducted and recorded interviews with professionals, policy experts, as well as personal insights of generational and situational poverty.

"Economy: Low Income Awareness" (2014)

Students at Northwest Michigan College researched and created this video to try to dispel myths about low income people as they relate to the economy.
