Children's Literature Collections @ NMC

You'll find Children's Literature in several sections in the library:

  1. Reserve Books: titles put on reserve by professors.  Located at the Library Reference Desk, these include reserve titles for ENG 210 and ENG 271. We have multiple copies of the ENG 271 readings, which can be checked out for 3 days at a time.
  2. Stack Collection: the main children's literature collection, under the call number PZ. Chapter books (3-week checkout) and picture books (1-week checkout) are shelved separately here.
  3. Children's Book Cart: contains books for young library visitors. Materials are near the print journal collection on the main level. This collection operates like a "Little Free Library" - kids are free to take or leave books here. No due dates, no late fees!
  4. Big Books: oversized picture books for group storytelling use and may be checked out for one week at a time.  Big Books are located on a cart next to the Children's Book Cart.
