MeLCat is a service that connects you to the collections of over 400 other libraries in Michigan. To use this service, search MeLCat, find the material you are looking for, and click "Get this for me!" You will be prompted to select your institution from a drop-down menu, and then enter your name and library card number. If you do not have a library card, or do not know the number, call (231) 995-1060 for help.
Requests are free.
Average arrival time is 5-6 days.
You may not request items that are currently available at the Osterlin Library.
All library patrons may place MeLCat requests.
You will be notified by the e-mail address or phone number that we have on file when the item has arrived.

You can often find the full text of an article in our databases. Find out which databases index a particular journal by searching the Ebsco A to Z list.
The quickest way to get an article is to call the reference desk at 995-1540. A librarian will find the article and email it to you.
