Books in the Osterlin Library are shelved according to the Library of Congress Classification System.

To browse the library's education collection, look for the letter "L" on the side of the book shelf. Below are the general Library of Congress call numbers and associated education subjects:

Center for Instructional Excellence Collection

The Osterlin Library is home to a collection of books about higher education, collected by NMC's Center for Instructional Excellence.

CIE

Although these books are primarily used for the continuing education of NMC faculty, students are welcome to check them out. The CIE (Center for Instructional Excellence) collection is shelved near the government documents. Ask us at the Reference Desk if you need assistance locating CIE titles.
